Butterfly Garden Shawl

Butterfly Garden is an arch shaped shawl with 117 butterflies. The shawl combines lace knitting with stranded knitting. The body of the shawl is shaped with short rows giving it its arch shape. The shawl is finished with a small garter stitch edge.

It measures 13 inches (32 cm) in width and 60 inches (150 cm) in length.

Butterfly Garden is knit it fingering yarn, using around 555 yards (420 yards main color, 75 yards background color and 60 yards contrasting color). The example in the pictures is knit in Wollmeise 100% merino superwash in Wasabi, Amenthyst medium and Sonne.

Gracieuse



Gracieuse is a small shawl with a shell stitch border.
The shell stitch was found in an old Dutch 19th century womens magazine called Gracieuse. Now it is used in a shawl, knitted from the outside edge of the border.

The shawl is shaped by using short rows.
It measures 12 inches (30 cm) in width and 48 inches (120 cm) in length.



Gracieuse is knit in fingering yarn, using around 460 yards. The example in the pictures is knit in Wollmeise 100% merino superwash, in color Merlot.
